Highland Park Launches Cask Strength Release No. 2

Highland Park has announced the launch of Cask Strength Release No. 2, the second release in a series created to “capture the essential DNA of Highland Park” by bottling their spirit with no added water, no chill filtration, and no added color.
Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 2 is a vatting of mainly sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, along with a few ex-bourbon casks, that have been hand-selected by Highland Park’s Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion.
Bottled at 63.9% ABV, Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 2 is described as having aromas of “summer rose, ripe pear, fresh coconut, and aromatic peat smoke,” followed by notes of “poached pear, almond cake, cloudy honey, and salty liquorice” on the palate. It concludes with “toasted oak, orchard fruits, black pepper, and sweet aniseed” on the “lingering, satisfyingly long” finish.
Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 2 is available now at a suggested retail price of £60.00.
