GlenAllachie Releases 30 Year Old Batch 1

The GlenAllachie Distillery is adding a 30 Year Old small batch, cask strength single malt Scotch whisky to it’s core range, to be released annually in limited quantities.
GlenAllachie 30 Year Old Batch 1 is composed of stocks distilled in 1989 and 1990 and matured in ex-Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso hogsheads and puncheons, along with a small quantity of Chinquapin Virgin Oak casks. Batch 1 is bottled non-chill filtered and with no added coloring at a cask strength of 48.9% ABV.
GlenAllachie 30 Year Old Batch 1 is described as having aromas of “fruit cake, raisins and mocha, with honey, cinnamon and coconut” and “layers of dark chocolate, fruit cake, raisins, honey and figs, with treacle, orange zest and nutmeg” on the palate.
GlenAllachie 30 Year Old Batch 1 is limited to 2,000 bottles worldwide and is available now at a suggested retail price of £475 (~$673).
