Stephen Woodcock, Glen Moray Head of Whisky Creations

Glen Moray has announced the appointment of Stephen Woodcock as Head of Whisky Creation & Stocks, beginning immediately. Stephen, who succeeds Dr. Kirstie McCallum, will be responsible for developing Glen Moray’s wide range of whiskies and championing its long-held expertise in maturing and marrying casks.

Joining from The Distell Group, Stephen will also oversee the other global whisky brands owned by Glen Moray’s parent company, La Martiniquaise-Bardinet. These include blended Scotch whisky brands Cutty Sark, Label 5, and Sir Edward’s.

Stephen began his career in the industry with Diageo, where he spent seven years as a site operations manager in the Speyside region of Scotland. Stephen would leave Diageo to join Distell, where he held the titles of Distilleries Manager and Master Distiller and was responsible for the single malts crafted at the Deanston, Bunnahabhain, and Tobermory distilleries, as well as maturing stocks and blending.
