Teeling Whiskey Launches 28 Year Old Vintage Reserve Collection Single Malt

Teeling Whiskey has launched a 28 Year Old Irish single malt under their Vintage Reserve Collection, a series of “limited releases of very rare and old Irish Single Malt whiskeys containing some of the oldest Single Malt Irish whiskey ever bottled.”
Distilled in 1991, Teeling 28 Year Old was initially matured in Bourbon casks, then married in Sauternes wine casks before being bottled in March 2020. Official tasting notes describe it as having aromas of “white peaches, cut grass, white chocolate and a hint of toasted almonds” with notes of “ripe peaches, honey, smoked sea saltiness and subtle spices” on the palate. It ends with a “long and mellow” finish featuring a “continuation of the sweet spice” notes.
Teeling 28 Year Old Vintage Reserve Collection Single Malt is bottled NCF (Non Chill-Filtered) at 46% ABV and is limited to 4,000 70 cL bottles. Teeling 28 Year Old carries a suggested retail price of €500 (~$550) and is available now via the Teeling Whiskey Distillery, Celtic Whiskey Shop and a limited number of independent stores, with a rollout to Benelux, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Australia and select Asian markets to follow.
