Ardbeg 25 Year Old Revealed

Ardbeg 25 Year Old - Front Label

Labels approved by the TTB have revealed Ardbeg 25 Year Old, the oldest official bottling from the distillery in over a decade.

The front label indicates Ardbeg 25 Year Old will be bottled non chill-filtered at 46% ABV, while the back label describes it as “a whisky of the most rare and precious kind. Majestic aromas of smoked cream and earthy bonfires are masterfully interwoven with layers of pine and fragrant candle wax. Hot pepper twists around sherbet lemon sweetness and hints of carbolic soap and tar, while the aftertaste is characterized by delicate aniseed entwined with lingering cream and fudge.”

Expect an official announcement with more information, including pricing, release date, and availability, prior to launch.

I’m very eager to find out how much will be the price for this Ardbeg 25 years old…Honestly, I think they could do better than 46%

I’m curious about pricing too. In my area, Traigh Bhan 19 Year Old was selling for ~$300 and the 21 YO and Twenty Somethings for ~$500. This is even older and will likely be even more expensive…

  • Fred says:

    In Europe probably €700 – €750
