Rosebank Launches Ballot for Opportunity to Purchase Two Rare Bottles

Rosebank Casks 433 & 625

Rosebank is bottling two casks distilled in 1993, the year the distillery was mothballed. The casks, numbered 433 and 625, will only see 100 bottles of each released for purchase. Because of the highly limited nature of these bottles, Rosebank has launched a ballot where interested individuals can sign-up for the chance to purchase one or both bottles. Each bottle will be individually numbered and priced at £2,500 ($3,220). They’ve got to pay for the Rosebank restoration efforts somehow, right?

Rosebank Cask 433 is bottled at a cask strength of 53.5% ABV and is described as “delicate and refined on the nose – with hints of vanilla, mango, raspberry, barley sugar and lavender. Silky and light on the tongue, it gives way to complex flavours of cranachan and lemon, with gentle floral notes, marzipan and faint spice completing the profile. It has a soft, satisfying citrus finish with hints of ripe fruit and oak.”

Rosebank Cask 625 is bottled at a cask strength of 50.4% ABV and is described as having “a warm banana loaf aroma with hints of white chocolate, spearmint, Victoria sponge and dried pineapple. It has notes of shortbread, chamomile tea, dried herb and citrus for a rich-bodied, balanced taste and a wonderfully delicate, tropical fruit, lime and gentle spice finish.”

Those interested in entering the ballot may do so at rosebank.com/ballot. The Rosebank ballot will remain open until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3rd to allow all interested parties enough time to register. Once the ballot closes, the chosen few will be notified via email by March 5th and asked to complete their purchase by March 7th, otherwise their bottles will be forfeited and released to another ballot entrant.
