Kingsbarns Distillery Announces Founders Reserve 2019 Limited Release
Kingsbarns, a Lowland distillery opened in 2014, is celebrating its fifth anniversary with the release of Kingsbarns Founders Reserve 2019, the second of five bottlings to be released in the Kingsbarns Founders Club series.
Kingsbarns Founders Reserve 2019 was distilled in 2016 and matured in STR (Shaved, Toasted, and Re-charred) red wine barriques from Portugal. Bottled in 2019 at a cask strength of 61.1% ABV, Founders Reserve 2019 is described as having a palate of “spiced marmalade and sultanas soaked in cider brandy” and a “long herbal finish.”
