Heaven Hill Announces Elijah Craig Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey
Heaven Hill has announced Elijah Craig Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, a new addition to the Elijah Craig family of whiskies, which until now only consisted of Bourbon products.
Elijah Craig Rye is produced from a mash bill of 51% rye, 35% corn, and 14% malted barley. Heaven Hill selected this combination of grains to “balance the spicy sharpness from the rye with sweetness from the corn.”
Elijah Craig Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof) and carries a suggested retail price of $29.99. It will launch in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Oregon in January 2020, with a wide release to follow at a later date.
