Highland Park Releases Valfather Special Edition

Highland Park Valfather

Highland Park has announced the release of Valfather, the third and final expression in the Viking Legend collection. Valfather follows Valkyrie, released in 2017, and Valknut, released in 2018. The collection is inspired by the Viking heritage on Orkney, the island on which the Highland Park distillery resides.

Named after the Norse god Odin, Highland Park claims Valfather is the most peated whisky they’ve released to date. Matured entirely in refill casks, Valfather is described as having notes of “sweet apple, fragrant pear, crème brûlée, toasted cedar wood, smoked paprika, and aromatic peat smoke.”

Highland Park Valfather is bottled at 47% ABV and carries a suggested retail price of £60 (~$72).
