BHAKTA Spirits has announced the launch of its second Bourbon vintage — BHAKTA 2014 Bourbon.

Distilled by MGP from a 99% corn/1% malted barley mash bill, BHAKTA 2014 Bourbon was finished for 125 days in ex-French Oak barrels which previously held BHAKTA 1973 Armagnac, before being bottled at 9 years old and 105.4 proof (52.7% ABV).

BHAKTA 2014 Bourbon is described as “deep, rich amber” in color, with a “grassy and herbaceous” nose that exhibits aromas of “toasted oak and caramel.” The palate is a “spicy attack,” with notes of “charred oak, Maraschino, and maple syrup.” It concludes with “oak spice, sweet almond, and raisin rum cake” on the finish.

Limited to 9,000 bottles, BHAKTA 2014 Bourbon has a suggested retail price of $149 and is now available at retailers in select states and online at bhaktaspirits.com.
