Lux Row Distillers Announces Blood Oath Pact 10
Lux Row Distillers has announced Blood Oath Pact 10, a limited edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey double finished in Cabernet Franc and Merlot casks.
To create Blood Oath Pact 10, Master Distiller John Rempe combined two Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskeys distilled from the same ryed (78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley) mash bill with a double finished bourbon that was first finished in Cabernet Franc barrels, followed by a secondary finish in Merlot barrels.
Blood Oath Pact 10 is described as having aromas of “sweet fruit with hints of oak,” flavors of “rich caramel with tart raspberries and black pepper” on the palate, and a finish that exhibits “distinct notes of red stone fruits with undertones of vanilla and cocoa.”
Blood Oath Pact 10 is limited to 51,000 bottles, 1,400 of which will be held for a future Trilogy release. The first Trilogy featuring Pacts 1, 2, and 3 was released in 2018, and the second Trilogy featuring Pacts 4, 5, and 6 was released in September 2021. The third Trilogy featuring Pacts 7, 8, and 9 will be released later this year.
Blood Oath Pact 10 is bottled at 49.3% ABV and will be available beginning this month at a suggested retail price of $129.99 per 750 mL bottle.
