Bulleit Launches New Core Expression: Bulleit ’87

Bulleit Frontier Whiskey has announced the launch of Bulleit ’87, the brand’s first new core expression since the debut of Bulleit 95 Rye in 2011.
Named after the year Bulleit was founded – 1987 – Bulleit ’87 marries bourbon distilled, barreled, and aged in Shelbyville, Kentucky with rye distilled and aged in Indiana before heading to Shelbyville. Both the bourbon and rye are aged for a minimum of four years, finished separately in their original barrels with toasted American oak and French oak staves for four to six weeks, then blended together and bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV) in Shelbyville.
Bulleit ’87 is described as having aromas of “caramel and brown sugar,” leading to flavors of “warm baking spices and structured oak” on the palate, concluding with “a layered, gentle finish of sweet-and-spicy warmth.”
Bulleit ’87 will be available at select retailers nationwide beginning September 2026 for the suggested retail price of $29.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
