Ardgowan Distillery Launches Six New Clydebuilt Single Cask Whiskies
Ardgowan Distillery has announced the launch of six new single cask Single Malt Scotch Whiskys under its Clydebuilt brand.
The six releases, comprising five single malts and one single grain, include:
- Clydebuilt 2013 Bourbon Barrel Single Cask, Aberlour Distillery: A Speyside single malt matured in a Bourbon barrel (#300080) and bottled at 58.1% ABV, yielding 192 bottles. It’s described as having aromas of “buttery fudge” and a palate of “vanilla whipped cream and ‘sherbet fruits’ boiled sweets.” RRSP £120.00.
- Clydebuilt 2015 Sherry Hogshead Single Cask, Aultmore Distillery: A Speyside single malt matured in a Spanish Sherry cask (#303634) and bottled at 56.6% ABV, yielding 305 bottles. It’s described as having aromas of “ripe figs and cinnamon sticks,” and a palate of “fruit scones with raspberry jam and clotted cream”. RRSP: £65.00.
- Clydebuilt 2012 Bourbon Hogshead Single Cask, Benriach Distillery: A Speyside single malt matured in a Bourbon barrel (#750335) and bottled at 56.0% ABV, yielding 226 bottles. It’s described as having aromas of “tropical fruit pavlova,” and a palate of “buttercream icing, retro boiled sweets, and fruit salad.” RRSP: £95.00.
- Clydebuilt 2005 Bourbon Hogshead Single Cask, Cameronbridge Distillery: A single grain matured in a Bourbon hogshead and bottled at 54.3% ABV, yielding 272 bottles. It’s described as having aromas of “buttered popcorn,” and a palate of “heather honey and peach cobbler drizzled with cream.” RRSP: £79.00
- Clydebuilt 2012 Bourbon Barrel Single Cask, Glen Garioch Distillery: A Highland single malt matured in a Bourbon cask (#4587) and bottled at 57.2% ABV, yielding 237 bottles. It’s described as having aromas of “marzipan and brown sugar,” and a palate of “hazelnut praline, vanilla fudge, and chewy raisins.” RRSP: £85.00.
- Clydebuilt 2015 Sherry Hogshead Single Cask, Linkwood Distillery:A Speyside single malt matured in a Spanish Sherry cask (#312013) and bottled at 56.3% ABV, yielding 332 bottles. It’s described as having “grassy aromas, alongside light peat,” and a palate of “creamy toffee and gooseberry jam.” RRSP: £59.00.
As with all Clydebuilt Single Cask whiskies, each expression is bottled at cask strength, without added coloring or chill filtration.
The new Clydebuilt Single Cask whiskies are now available at UK and international retailers.
