Fettercairn Launches 12 & 16 Year Old Single Malts in the U.S.

Fettercairn has announced the launch of its 12 Year Old and 16 Year Old single malts in the U.S.

Fettercairn 12 Year Old is matured in ex-bourbon American white oak barrels for at least 12 years. It’s presented of natural color and bottled non-chill filtered at 46% ABV.

Fettercairn 12 Year Old is described as having aromas of “vanilla and pear, softened by gentle spice.” The palate exhibits flavors of “nectarine and tropical fruit deepened by notes of roasted coffee, clove, and ginger.” It concludes with a finish that “lingers on golden raisins and black toffee.”

Fettercairn 16 Year Old is aged for at least 16 years in a combination of first-fill and refill American oak ex-bourbon barrels and hogsheads. It’s presented of natural color and bottled non-chill filtered at 46.4% ABV.

Fettercairn 16 Year Old is described as having aromas of “grilled pineapple, Madagascan vanilla, and sugared almonds.” The palate exhibits flavors of “tropical fruit, poached pear, and honey.” It finishes with notes of “vanilla, almond, and warming spice.”

Fettercairn 12 Year Old and 16 Year Old are now available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $54.99 and $89.99, respectively.
