Lochlea Distillery has unveiled a 7 year old single malt, its oldest whisky released to date.

Lochlea 7 Year Old is a marriage of seven hand-selected first-fill Bourbon casks filled in 2018, and is presented non-chill filtered, of natural color, and at 50% ABV.

Lochlea 7 Year Old is described as “beautifully creamy with fruity stewed apple notes” on the nose, with a “rich and creamy” palate that exhibits “tropical fruit notes, a touch of apple, and fresh oak.” It finishes with “buttery pastry, cereal notes, warming spice, and tart green apple slices.”

Lochlea 7 Year Old is available at retailers across the UK and in international markets for a recommended retail price of £90 per 70 cL bottle.
