The Glasgow Distillery Expands Core Range With Lightly Peated Bourbon Cask Matured Single Malt
The Glasgow Distillery has announced the launch of a new permanent fixture to its core range: Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured.
Batch 01 of Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured is a marriage of three casks of 50% unpeated double distilled spirit and three casks of 50% peated double distilled spirit with a 50PPM phenol count. It was matured exclusively in first fill ex-bourbon barrels for at least 8 years and is bottled at a cask strength of 54% ABV.
Batch 01 of Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured is described as exhibiting “notes of rich vanilla, floral honey, a lick of sweet smoke, citrus fruit, and shortbread with tropical tones throughout before a long-lasting oak spice finish.”
Batch 01 of Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured is limited to 1,400 bottles and will be available beginning Tuesday, November 4th via The Glasgow Distillery website and at retailers across the UK for a recommended retail price of £57.
