The Distillery at Coleburn Launches First Batch of Local Heros Whiskies

The Distillery at Coleburn has unveiled its first collection of whisky bottlings, Local Heros.
Every bottle in the Local Heros collection captures a chapter in Scotch whisky’s evolving story, showcasing the character and craftsmanship of a different distillery or blend.
The first batch of Local Heros whiskies is comprised of three blended malts created as a gateway into the ongoing collection: Sherry Bomb, Sweet Peat, and Big Smoke.
Sherry Bomb is bottled at 46% ABV and is described as having aromas of “spice, honey, red apple, and cinnamon over toasted malt,” a palate of “dried fruit, hazelnut, and stewed plums,” and a “smooth, fruity and elegant” finish. RRP: £50.
Sweet Peat is bottled at 46% ABV and is described as having aromas of “caramel, vanilla, and plum pudding,” a palate of “honey, pear drops, and banana, ” and a “long, sweet, and smoky finish.” RRP: £52.50.
Big Smoke is bottled at 46% ABV and is described as having aromas of “cherry, vanilla, lemon, and coastal notes,” a palate of “medicinal smoke, banana, and sea salt,” and a “lingering, smoky” finish. RRP: £55.
