Altamar Brands Launches High n’ Wicked Warlander Whiskey – Benchetler No. 3
Altamar Brands has announced the launch of High n’ Wicked Warlander Whiskey – Benchetler No. 3, a limited edition created in collaboration with artist, filmmaker, and pro skier Chris Benchetler.
High n’ Wicked Warlander Whiskey – Benchetler No. 3 was created from a blend of three and four year old Kentucky Straight Rye and Bourbon whiskeys. After blending, the whiskey was rebarreled in a combination of its own ex-bourbon and ex-rye casks and allowed to rest for just over two months, then bottled at 99 proof (49.5% ABV).
Official tasting notes for High n’ Wicked Warlander Whiskey – Benchetler No. 3 follow:
On Nose & Aroma: Bright citrus, grapefruit, and lemon zest, evolving into caramelized orange and a hint of salted caramel. There is a potent baking spice note – layers of cinnamon and a bit of allspice, but ultimately, this leans very bright and citrus forward with a hint of green apple, grilled peaches, and fresh dill. With a very subtle black cherry on the back.
Palate: On the palate: This is bold and expressive, extremely layered and a very full palate experience, lots of caramel and lush savory notes, dark chocolate, cocoa nibs, cherries and blackberries, with black pepper and allspice on the back end.
