Johnnie Walker Unveils The Couture Blend
Johnnie Walker has unveiled The Couture Blend, the second limited-edition release from the Johnnie Walker Vault and the second collaboration between Johnnie Walker Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker and French fashion designer Olivier Rousteing.
In crafting the blend, Dr. Walker selected just 10 whiskies from the Johnnie Walker Vault – a liquid library of 500 rare whiskies curated from 10 million casks of Scotch. She chose ghost whiskies from closed distilleries such as Port Dundas and Caledonian, layering them with whiskies from the 1980s and 1990s, including Benrinnes, Cragganmore and Cameronbridge, and contemporary whiskies from the last two decades, such as Cardhu, Roseisle and Teaninich.
The Couture Blend is presented in a square crystal decanter designed by Rousteing in homage to the iconic square bottle created by Alexander Walker in the late 1800s. The decanter has been dressed in gold and is topped with an oversized square stopper.
Johnnie Walker Vault – The Couture Blend is limited to only 1,500 bottles worldwide and carries a suggested retail price of $2,500.
