Johnnie Walker Unveils Blue Label Rahul Mishra Limited Edition Design
In celebration of the Indian festive season, Johnnie Walker has unveiled Blue Label x Rahul Mishra, a limited edition blended Scotch whisky created in partnership with Indian fashion designer Rahul Mishra.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label x Rahul Mishra is presented in a custom box and bottle that pay tribute to the culture and heritage of India. The designs symbolize ‘bright beginnings’ with Mishra drawing inspiration from native flora and fauna which he describes as “blooming flowers and spirited animals”. The bottle design also features a bright festive night symbolizing abundance and joy to come.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label x Rahul Mishra is blended from the same components as the standard Johnnie Walker Blue Label, but it’s bottled at a higher ABV (46% vs 40%) in the US and other select markets to give the blend additional character and intensity of flavor. It’s described as “mellow and rounded” on the nose, with aromas of “a dry smokiness mingling with raisin sweetness.” The palate exhibits “a velvety mouthfeel,” with flavors of “rich spice giving way to a deep surge of vanilla sweetness and honey, followed by caramel, hazelnuts, and dark chocolate.” It concludes with a “long, luxurious finish of smoke, pepper, and a hint of spice.”
The Johnnie Walker Blue Label x Rahul Mishra limited edition design is available now for a suggested retail price of $264.00 for a 750 mL bottle.
