Isle of Harris Distillery Launches The Hearach Single Cask Exclusively For Royal Mile Whiskies
Isle of Harris Distillery has announced the release of a single cask of The Hearach bottled exclusively for one of Scotland’s leading whisky retailers, Royal Mile Whiskies.
In collaboration with the distillery, Royal Mile Whiskies’ team selected a lightly peated single malt aged in a first fill Bourbon barrel, bottled at a cask strength of 57.4% ABV.
Blender Shona Macleod describes this single cask of The Hearach as having aromas of “crème brûlée and deep caramels turning to dried citrus peel and barley sugar, with a burst of mixed florals that mellows into a gentle lavender.” The palate exhibits “gentle warm spices of old-fashioned pudding and ginger cake.” It concludes with “a long and creamy finish with a touch of liquorice and a lingering hint of Hebridean peat smoke.”
The Royal Mile Whiskies single cask of The Hearach is limited to just 225 individually numbered bottles and will be available to purchase in-store at Royal Mile Whiskies and online at royalmilewhiskies.com beginning on August 15 for £94.95. A limited number of bottles will also be made available to select bars through Royal Mile Whiskies’ trade business, giving enthusiasts the opportunity to sample it by the dram at venues in Edinburgh and beyond.
