The Glasgow Distillery Launches 10 Year Old Sauternes Cask Matured Whisky Exclusively For Royal Mile Whiskies
The Glasgow Distillery has announced the launch of Glasgow 1770 10 Year Old Sauternes Cask Matured, a limited edition single malt bottled in collaboration with and exclusively for one of Scotland’s leading whisky retailers, Royal Mile Whiskies.
Glasgow 1770 10 Year Old Sauternes Cask Matured is a single cask, unpeated single malt fully matured in a refill French Sauternes sweet wine barrique and bottled at 53% ABV. It’s described as “a fruity, delicate whisky with notes of poached pear, salted caramel, honey, and tropical fruit, with a hint of cinnamon spice.”
Glasgow 1770 10 Year Old Sauternes Cask Matured is limited to 340 bottles and priced at £73.95. It will be available exclusively to Royal Mile’s Whisky Fringe festival attendees from August 8–10, with remaining bottles on sale at royalmilewhiskies.com beginning Monday, August 11.
