A. Smith Bowman Distillery Launches Abraham Bowman Oak Series: Hungarian Oak

A. Smith Bowman Distillery has announced the launch of Abraham Bowman Oak Series: Hungarian Oak, the third and final release in its experimental Abraham Bowman Oak Series.
The Abraham Bowman Oak Series explores cask maturation in different oak varietals from around the world, as well as the effect charring has on the flavor of whiskey. Abraham Bowman Oak Series: Hungarian Oak blends liquids aged for 12 years in charred Hungarian Oak barrels.
Bottled at 115 proof (57.5% ABV), Abraham Bowman Oak Series: Hungarian Oak is described as having aromas of “candied apricot,” flavors of “honey apples and a pronounced smokey dark chocolate,” and a finish that “lingers on the sides of your tongue with notes of dried fruit and char.”
The opportunity to purchase a bottle of Abraham Bowman Oak Series: Hungarian Oak will take place through an online lottery from August 11-August 18, 2025. Winners will be randomly selected on August 20, 2025 and notified via email immediately following the selection. Winners must purchase their bottle in-person at the A. Smith Bowman gift shop within three weeks of winning. Abraham Bowman Oak Series: Hungarian Oak will be sold at the suggested retail price of $79.99 for a 750 mL bottle (excluding state taxes and fees).
