Stitzel-Weller Distillery has unveiled Stitzel Reserve, a new series of one-of-a-kind, distillery-exclusive bottles that will showcase the rarest and most extraordinary barrels from the distillery’s warehouses. Each expression in the Stitzel Reserve series will be curated based on liquid quality and peak maturity, with no predetermined release schedule.

The inaugural release, Stitzel Reserve 24 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, was matured in new charred American oak barrels originally laid down in 1999. Pulled from only nine barrels that were aging in Warehouse B, this release was personally selected and blended by Nicole Austin, Director of American Whiskey Liquid Development and Capabilities for Diageo, and consists of just 191 bottles presented at 61.7% ABV. Every bottle is numbered and hand-signed by Nicole Austin.

Stitzel Reserve 24 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is described as exhibiting “a rich profile that evokes notes of cracked leather and saddle oil,” with a “sweet finish rounded out by burnt sugar on the palate.”

Stitzel Reserve 24 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is available for sale on-site at the distillery. Individual serves of the whiskey are also available through a bespoke tasting experience at the Garden & Gun Club at Stitzel-Weller Distillery, and will include an etched whiskey glass with a branded bag and a limited edition Stitzel-Weller Distillery pin with purchase. Pricing of the 750 mL bottle will be available upon request at the distillery.
