Penelope Bourbon Announces Cigar Sessions Chapter 1 American Whiskey
Penelope Bourbon has unveiled Cigar Sessions Chapter 1, the first release in an annual series featuring American Whiskeys crafted for cigar pairing.
Penelope Cigar Sessions Chapter 1 is a blend of American whiskeys – Straight Bourbon, American Single Malt, and American Light Whiskey – crafted to perfectly complement medium-bodied cigars. Cigar Sessions Chapter 1 features a mash bill of 72% corn, 15% rye, and 13% malt, and is bottled at six years old and presented at 101 proof (50.5% ABV).
Penelope Wheated is described as having aromas of “milk chocolate, vanilla, and candied apple.” The palate exhibits flavors of “chocolate, dried peach, tobacco, and warm caramel.” It finishes with notes of “toffee, dark fruit, and light oak.”
Penelope Cigar Sessions Chapter 1 is limited to 45,000 bottles and will be available in select markets beginning this month for a suggested retail price of $79.99 per 750 mL bottle.
