Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery Celebrates Visitor Centre Anniversary with 22 Year Old Limited Release
Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery is celebrating 25 years since the opening of its visitor centre with an exclusive commemorative release: Aberfeldy 22 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish.
Aberfeldy 22 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish is the latest addition to the Aberfeldy Exceptional Cask Series – a collection of single cask bottlings, double cask expressions, and small batch releases. After initially maturing in traditional oak casks, this single malt has been finished in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, Spain for over six years, then bottled of natural color at a cask strength of 53.1% ABV.
Aberfeldy 22 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish is described as having aromas of “sweet orchard fruits, succulent pear, and caramelized apples.” The palate exhibits notes “vanilla, heather honey, toasted oak, and clove.” The finish is “exceptionally smooth, leaving a soft echo of honey and spice.”
Aberfeldy 22 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish is limited to only 552 bottles and will be available for £195 from the distillery itself and its online store.
