A marriage of three casks, Glasgow 1770 Constantia Wine Cask Matured is a 5 year old single malt double distilled from unpeated malted barley and matured in first fill ex-Bourbon casks, then finished in South African Constantia dessert wine casks for 1 year and 10 months. Glasgow 1770 Constantia Cask is described as having aromas of “fresh apricot, ripe peach, juicy clementine and rich vanilla that lead to lightly floral notes of jasmine and honeysuckle.” The palate exhibits “a juicy explosion of fresh fruit, floral and rich manuka honey, sweet pink grapefruit, ripe peach, apricot compote, and vanilla ice cream with a sweet almond nuttiness.” The finish is “long and fruity with lasting notes of light honeyed sweetness, a touch of fresh ginger, and hints of 80% cacao dark chocolate.” RRP £59.

Glasgow 1770 Pineua des Charentes Cask (Peated, Batch No. 01):
Glasgow 1770 Pineau des Charentes Wine Cask Matured is a 5 year old single malt double distilled from peated malted barley and matured in first fill ex-Bourbon casks, then finished in a French Pineau des Charentes wine cask for 1 year and 10 months. Glasgow 1770 Pineua des Charentes Cask is described as having aromas of “rich sweet smoke with a dark fruit-forward character, maple smoked ham, soft caramel, toffee apples, and freshly cut hay earthiness.” The palate exhibits notes of “smoky BBQ, sweet butterscotch, long-lasting dark fruits, blackberries, waxy orange zest, and a subtle nuttiness reminiscent of chopped walnuts and smoked almonds.” The finish has “a soft and long-lasting smoke that gives way to notes of flamed orange zest, oak tannins, and a delicate fruity green peppercorn spice.” RRP £59.

Glasgow 1770 Syrah Cask (Unpeated, Batch No. 01):
A marriage of two casks, Glasgow 1770 Syrah Wine Cask Matured is a 5 year old single malt double distilled from unpeated malted barley and matured in first fill ex-Bourbon casks, then finished in Greek Syrah red wine casks sourced from the island of Evia for 1 year and 10 months.
