The Glasgow Distillery is celebrating 10 years of whisky making with its oldest expression to date: Glasgow 1770 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Glasgow 1770 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a single cask bottling using the 10th cask the distillery ever laid down. The bottling – from refill bourbon barrel no. 15/10 – was filled with the distillery’s unpeated, double-distilled spirit on March 20, 2015, and matured until March 24, 2025, producing just 230 bottles at 54% ABV.

Official tasting notes for Glasgow 1770 10 Year Old Cask No. 15/10 follow:

The nose is bright and vibrant with notes of crisp green apples and fresh pears accompanied by delicate fresh lychee, ripe pineapple and citrus marmalade leading to a subtle dusting of icing sugar atop a rich vanilla sponge cake.

The palate is soft and balanced with notes of vanilla custard, orange peel and lemon zest, baked apple, and a rich floral heather honeyed sweetness. Freshly sliced pear leads to indulgent notes of baked caramelised pear tarte tatin.

Velvety creme brulee and white chocolate on the finish with a sprinkle of desiccated coconut and lingering notes of honeyed fruit and a touch of warming cinnamon.

Glasgow 1770 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky will be available exclusively to members of the Glasgow Distillery Community, the distillery’s free members club. It will be released on The Glasgow Distillery website at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 15th, priced at £69.00 per bottle, with a limit of one per person.
