Maker’s Mark has announced the next iteration of its Wood Finishing Series with the launch of the 2025 expression: The Keepers Release.

The Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series is a collection of limited edition expressions that use a wood stave-finishing technique to enhance distinctive characteristics already present in Maker’s Mark bourbon. The first chapter of the Wood Finishing Series, released between 2019-2023, emphasized the production process that impacts the flavor of Maker’s Mark. The current chapter, launched in 2024 with The Heart Release, focuses on the teams behind Maker’s Mark.

The Keepers Release pays tribute to the warehouse team who still rotate each and every barrel of Maker’s Mark by hand, and ensure every barrel of Maker’s Mark matures consistently to the founders’ taste vision.

Bottled at 54.6% ABV (109.2 proof), The Keepers Release is described as having aromas of “seasoned wood, brûléd sugar, and tobacco,” followed by a palate that is “bold with toasted oak and subtle sweetness,” concluding with a “long, enveloping finish characterized by dried dark fruit and a lingering roasted sweetness.”

Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series: The Keepers Release will be available in the U.S. beginning today for a suggested retail price of $74.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
