Maker’s Mark Launches Wood Finishing Series: The Heart Release
Maker’s Mark has announced the next chapter of its Wood Finishing Series with the launch of the 2024 expression: The Heart Release.
The Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series is a collection of limited edition expressions that use a wood stave-finishing technique to enhance distinctive characteristics already present in Maker’s Mark bourbon. Whereas the first chapter of the Wood Finishing Series emphasized the production process that impacts the flavor of Maker’s Mark, the second chapter will focus on the teams behind Maker’s Mark. The first release within this chapter is inspired by the distillery team – the makers of Maker’s Mark.
Bottled at 56.30% ABV (112.6 proof), The Heart Release is described as having a “rich, creamy mouthfeel” and a “fruit forward” profile with notes of “caramel, maple, and chocolate.”
Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series: The Heart Release will be available in the U.S. beginning in July 2024 for a suggested retail price of $74.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
