Independent bottler Single Cask Nation has announced six new releases of single cask whiskies to be released exclusively through its website in March and April.

The following three expressions will be available beginning in March:

Tormore 10 Year Old
Aged 6 years in an ex-bourbon barrel, finished 4 years in an American oak Oloroso hogshead and bottled at 63.2% ABV. SRP: $100 (700 mL).

Official tasting notes:

“Tormore tends to be quite a malty and peppery spirit. The use of an American oak Oloroso sherry cask brings forth a fudgy decadence that’s perfectly balanced by ginger snap cookies and a very delicate whiff of smoke that’s rarely, if ever, found in Tormore.”

Ardnamurchan 9 Year Old
Aged 9 years in an ex-bourbon barrel and bottled at 64.9% ABV. SRP: $100 (700 mL).

Official tasting notes:

“True to the house style, our 9-year-old Ardnamurchan is hefty and delicately peated but delivers hugely on dark dense fruits. This is the west coast of the Scottish highlands in a bottle.”

Isle of Arran 8 Year Old
Aged 8 years in an ex-bourbon barrel and bottled at 61.8% ABV. SRP: $100 (700 mL).

Official tasting notes:

Official tasting notes: “Arran (Lochranza) is known for its big, fruity style of whisky with a gentle salinity. The cask shows off their spirit with a fair whack of peat. The peat used to dry the barley is highland peat so there’s no iodine or band-aids to be found in the tasting notes. The smoke is earthy and floral and balances out the fruit in the spirit perfectly.”

The remaining three expressions will be available beginning in April:

Blacksboat Bridge 12 Year Old
Aged 7 years in an ex-bourbon barrel, finished 5 years in Spanish oak oloroso and bottled at 62.9% ABV. SRP: $120 (700 mL).

Official tasting notes:

“True to this famous Speyside distillery’s house style, to be sure, but perhaps one of the more intense examples of whisky coming from them. This whisky goes to 11.”

Glencadam 13 Year Old
Aged 10 years in an ex-bourbon barrel, finished 3 years in a first-fill sherry STR barrique and bottled at 60.2% ABV. SRP: $125 (700 mL).

Official tasting notes:

“This is a Glencadam unlike any other. It’s long known that everyone at Single Cask Nation loves the 1980s-style of Bowmore with its notes of lavender, Pixie Stix, Fun-Dip, etc… but it’s a style that seemed almost exclusive to Bowmore and, surely, from a bygone time. Well, we found those lovely floral and penny candy store notes in this Glencadam.”

Rosarie Burn 15 Year Old
Aged 12 years in an ex-bourbon barrel, finished 3 years in a Spanish oak Oloroso hogshead and bottled at 62.6% ABV. SRP: $145 (700 mL).

Official tasting notes:

“Another instance where we weren’t able to list the distillery name on the label but this is a house favorite of Single Cask Nation.”
