Green River Launches Kentucky Straight Wheated Single Barrel Bourbon
Green River Distilling Co. is expanding its lineup of barrel-strength offerings with Green River Kentucky Straight Wheated Single Barrel Bourbon.
Green River Kentucky Straight Wheated Single Barrel Bourbon is distilled from a mash bill of 70% local corn, 21% wheat, and 9% malted barley, aged a minimum of five years, and presented at barrel strength ranging from 110 to 130 proof (55%–65% ABV). Each Green River Kentucky Straight Wheated Single Barrel selection is described as exhibiting notes of “ripe apricot and tangerine, oak, cinnamon, and vanilla creme,” as well as distinct flavors unique to every barrel.
Just 100 barrels will be available in 2025, exclusively for purchase by the barrel to on- and off-premise retailers. Each retailer will be able to hand-select their unique single barrel on-site at the Green River Distillery in Owensboro, KY.
A limited number of bottles will be available to the general public beginning February 13, 2025, exclusively at the Green River distillery gift shop in Owensboro, and Bardstown Bourbon Co. retail shops at the distillery in Bardstown and Tasting Room in Louisville.
