The Dalmore Unveils The Vintage Collection 2024

The Dalmore has unveiled two new limited edition single malt Scotch whiskies – The Dalmore 2006 Vintage and The Dalmore 2009 Vintage – which form the fourth release from The Dalmore Vintage Collection.
The Dalmore 2006 Vintage was initially matured in first-fill American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels and enhanced by finishing in hand-selected 30 Year Old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry casks and 30 Year Old Amoroso Sherry casks. Bottled at 18 years old, it is presented of natural color, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 47.2% ABV. The Dalmore 2008 Vintage is described as having aromas of “sherry-soaked raisins, along with roasted figs, cedar wood, and honey.” The palate exhibits notes of “dark fruit intertwined with liquorice and cacao, before developing notes of bergamot and blood orange.” It concludes with “antique sherry notes lingering on the palate to finish, expressing rich berries, liquorice, cassia bark, and dark chocolate.”
The Dalmore 2009 Vintage was initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, followed by a dual finish in hand-selected Matusalem Sherry casks and 10 Year Old Tawny Port pipes. Bottled at 15 years old, it is presented of natural color, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 48.9% ABV. The Dalmore 2009 Vintage is described as having aromas of “dark plum, cracked black pepper, whispers of Manuka honey, and hints of clove.” The palate exhibits notes of “Morello cherries and dates, with elevated notes of candied Seville orange, fresh figs, and light cacao.” It concludes with “rich plum complemented by moist ginger cake, roast chestnut, and soft wood spice” on the finish.
The Dalmore 2009 Vintage (RRP £173) and 2006 Vintage (RRP £403) will be available worldwide beginning this month.
