The Dalmore and V&A Dundee Expand Partnership to Include the Portfolio Series
The Dalmore and V&A Dundee have expanded their partnership to include an annual design commission for The Dalmore Portfolio Series.
This year’s Portfolio Series – a trio of limited-edition whiskies – features exclusive packaging by acclaimed muralist Fraser Gray, marking his first foray into product design.
The Dalmore Portfolio Series No. 1:
Finished in casks from one of the oldest and most prestigious wine estates in Bordeaux. The Dalmore Portfolio Series No. 1 is described as having aromas of aromas of “lemon drizzle cake, Manuka honey, grape pulp, and Golden Delicious apple.” The palate exhibits notes of “rich vanilla, citrus, and ripe fruit.” It finishes with “poached pear drenched in creamy custard.” Bottled at 46.8% and limited to 5,000 bottles.
The Dalmore Portfolio Series Portfolio Series No. 2:
Finished in casks from vineyards on the stony soils of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The Dalmore Portfolio Series No. 2 is described as having aromas of aromas of “pink grapefruit, ginger and vanilla, with hints of marmalade, toffee apple, and raisins.” The palate exhibits notes of “crushed almonds, sweet sultanas, fresh ginger, and soft liquorice” It finishes with “Poached pear and cranberries.” Bottled at 46% and limited to 2,000 bottles.
The Dalmore Portfolio Series Portfolio Series No. 3:
Finished in Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon casks from one of the world’s most iconic estates. The Dalmore Portfolio Series No. 3 is described as having aromas of aromas of “dark forest fruits, Seville oranges, liquorice and cedar wood.” The palate exhibits notes of “blackcurrant, baked apples, demerara sugar, intertwined with warm dark cacao.” It finishes with “bergamot, passion fruit, baked brioche, and balanced wood spice.” Bottled at 49.7% and limited to 1,000 bottles.
