Old Potrero Unveils 6 Year Old Toasted Barrel Rye Whiskey

Hotaling & Co. has announced the reintroduction of Old Potrero 18th Century Style Whiskey, now called Old Potrero Toasted Barrel Whiskey.
Old Potrero Toasted Barrel Whiskey is distilled in a small copper pot still from a mash of 100% rye malt and aged in new, toasted, 24-month air-dried, handmade, extra-fine grain American White Oak barrels for a minimum of 6 years.
Bottled at 51.2% ABV, Old Potrero Toasted Barrel Whiskey is described as having aromas of “dark fruit, malt, spiciness, and a hint of vanilla.” The palate is “rich and complex, with balanced sweetness, fresh clean oak, pronounced rye spice with maltiness and a pleasant grain character.” The finish is “long, lingering and complex with a substantial mouthfeel and depth.”
Old Potrero Toasted Barrel Whiskey will be availabling begninning on Thursday, July 4th at a suggested retail price of $64.99 for a 700 mL bottle.
