A. Smith Bowman Distillery Launches Abraham Bowman Oak Series: French Oak
A. Smith Bowman Distillery has announced the launch of Abraham Bowman Oak Series, a new set of experimental American whiskeys joining the Abraham Bowman Limited Edition Collection.
The Abraham Bowman Oak Series explores cask maturation in different oak varietals from around the world, as well as the effect charring has on the flavor of whiskey. The inaugural release, Abraham Bowman Oak Series: French Oak, blends liquids aged for 12 years in French Oak barrels both with and without char.
Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), Abraham Bowman Oak Series: French Oak is described as having aromas of “cherry and caramel,” with notes of “sweet vanilla, spice, and oak” on the palate, concluding with a “crisp cinnamon apple” finish.
The opportunity to purchase a bottle of Abraham Bowman Oak Series: French Oak will take place through an online lottery from April 4-11, 2024. Winners will be randomly selected on April 15, 2024 and notified via email immediately following the selection. Winners must purchase their bottle in-person at the A. Smith Bowman gift shop within three weeks of being notified. Abraham Bowman Oak Series: French Oak will be sold at the suggested retail price of $99.99 for a 750 mL bottle (excluding state taxes and fees).
