Westward Whiskey Announces Cognac Cask Finished American Single Malt Whiskey
Westward Whiskey has announced its fourth and final Whiskey Club release of 2023: Westward Whiskey Cognac Cask.
Westward Whiskey Cognac Cask is an American Single Malt matured for nearly 4 years in new American Oak and finished for a year in Cognac casks that had continuously housed XO Cognac for more than 40 years.
Bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof), Westward Whiskey Cognac Cask is described as having aromas of “baklava, candied ginger, forest floor, cloves, and fig jam.” The palate exhibits notes of “plum, melon, vanilla bean, apricot, and banana bread,” concluding with “honeydew, butterscotch, candied nuts, and pistachio curd” on the finish.
Westward Whiskey Cognac Cask is priced at $99.95 for a 750 mL bottle and is now available for purchase exclusively for Westward Whiskey Club members.
