The Leith Export Co. has announced the release of Perpetuity Batch #2, its Blended Scotch Whisky modeled on the infinity bottle concept.

Perpetuity Batch #2 is blended with more malt than Batch #1, resulting in a maltier whisky with big tropical fruit notes.

The recipe for Perpetuity Batch #2 follows:

  • Perpetuity Batch #1 (10.9%)
  • Miltonduff American Standard Barrel (6.5%)
  • Fassiefern refill PX butt (33.4%)
  • Invergordon Refill Sherry Butt (15.9%)
  • North British Virgin Oak (14.5%)
  • Glen Moray Refill Barrel (6.1%)
  • North British Sherry Hogshead (12.9%)

Bottled at 46% ABV, Perpetuity Batch #2 is described as having notes of “grilled pineapple, apricots, nutmeg, fresh cherries, and jam,” and “blood orange marmalade on toast with cinnamon butter” on the finish.

Perpetuity Batch #2 is limited to 3,000 bottles and is now available from The Leith Export Co. website and in-store at Lind & Lime and Port of Leith distilleries for a suggested retail price of £45.
