Foley Family Wines has announced the relaunch of Charles Goodnight Bourbon, a whiskey crafted in memory of the legendary Texas cattle driver and inventor of the chuckwagon.

Originally released in 2017 as a 100 proof (50% ABV) Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Charles Goodnight Bourbon has been re-imagined as a 115 proof (57.5% ABV) Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The new Charles Goodnight Bourbon is triple distilled in a copper-lined Vendome pot still with no column still distillate and features a high-rye bourbon mash bill of 60% Texas-grown yellow #2 corn, 36% unmalted rye, and 4% barley. Charles Goodnight Bourbon is aged in #3 charred wood for six years and bottled non-chill filtered.

The re-imagined Charles Goodnight Bourbon is presented in an updated bottle inspired by some of the earliest whiskeys in the US – dating back to between 1763 and 1803. The new bottle is brown and features a longhorn medallion and barbed wire blown into the glass.

Charles Goodnight Bourbon is now available at retailers across the U.S. for a suggested retail price of $79.99.
