Fettercairn Launches 16 Year Old 4th Release: 2023
The Fettercairn Distillery has announced the launch of Fettercairn 16 Year Old 4th Release: 2023, a limited edition bottling in an annual series that “showcases different maturation journeys for the distinctive distillery character.”
The 2023 release of Fettercairn 16 Year Old is a marriage of stocks matured in ex-Bourbon casks and first fill ex-Port Pipes.
Bottled non-chill filtered and of natural color at 46.4% ABV, Fettercairn 16 Year Old 4th Release is described as having aromas of “tropical fruit layered with berry fruits, rich cacao, sugared almonds, and floral top notes.” The palate exhibits “seasonal blackberries and raspberries which interweave with natural vanilla and caramel notes,” concluding with “soft plum balanced with fresh baked ginger cake and cherries while aged oak spice accentuates the tropical house characteristics.”
Fettercairn 16 Year Old 4th Release will be available beginning this month in select markets, including the UK, France, and Germany, at a suggested retail price of £82 for a 70 cL bottle. A 1 liter version will also be available in select markets, including Global Travel Retail.
