St Andrews based gin and whisky distillery Eden Mill has announced the appointment of Rennie Donaldson as new Chief Executive Officer under its Chair Stella Morse.

Donaldson began his career as a chartered accountant and later became Group Financial Controller at Edrington, which owns brands such as The Macallan, Highland Park, and The Famous Grouse. Donaldson would go on to serve as Head of Corporate Development for William Grant & Sons, which owns brands such as Glenfiddich, The Balvenie, and Hendrick’s Gin, before joining Eden Mill as Chief Operating Officer in February 2022.

As CEO, Donaldson is tasked with driving the business forward, delivering on its plans to grow international trade, rebrand its portfolio of premium single malt whiskies and Scottish gins, and deliver a new state of the art distillery and visitor center on the banks of the River Eden, which is due to open in summer 2024.
