Fettercairn Launches Warehouse 14 Batch No. 001
The Fettercairn Distillery has announced the launch of Fettercairn Warehouse 14 Batch No. 001, the fifth and final release in its limited edition Warehouse Collection.
Fettercairn Warehouse 14 Batch No. 001 is a marriage of single malts matured in first-fill and second-fill ex-Bourbon barrels, then finished in a mix of three different beer barrels – stout, dark ale, and pale ale – and bottled non-chill filtered and of natural color at 51.2% ABV.
Fettercairn Warehouse 14 Batch No. 001 is described as exhibiting notes of “vanilla, honey, and floral charm” on the nose, with “warm toasty maltiness and tropical fruits with layers of crème caramel, apricot tart, cacao, soft wood spices, and a pleasing nuttiness” on the palate.
Fettercairn Warehouse 14 Batch No. 001 is now available at The Whisky Shop and select global retailers – including in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France – and carries a suggested retail price of £70.
