Westward Whiskey Announces Sauternes Cask Finished American Single Malt Whiskey
Westward Whiskey has announced its first Whiskey Club release of 2023: Westward Whiskey Sauternes Cask.
Westward Whiskey Sauternes Cask is an American Single Malt matured for 5 years in #2 char new American Oak and finished for 14 months in a Sauternes cask from one of France’s Grand Cru Classé estates.
Bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof), Westward Whiskey Sauternes Cask is described as having aromas of “honeysuckle, white peach, orange peel, and vanilla pastry.” The palate exhibits notes of “pineapple, vibrant tropical fruits, honey-drenched peaches, ginger, light oak, and roasted nuts,” concluding with “apricot, lemon, jasmine, orange blossom, cedar, tobacco, and honey” on the finish.
Westward Whiskey Sauternes Cask is priced at $99.95 for a 750 mL bottle and is now available for pre-order exclusively for Westward Whiskey Club members.
