High West High Country 2022 Release Launches Nationwide
High West Distillery has announced the 2022 release of High West High Country American Single Malt Whiskey.
This year’s release of High West High Country is distilled from a mash bill of 85% base malt, 14% caramel 60 malt, and 1% chocolate malt and aged in freshly charred and second-use oak barrels.
High West High Country is bottled NCF (Non-Chill Filtered) at 44% ABV (88 proof) and is described as having aromas of “fig jam on toast points, whole grain waffles with honey drizzle, cracked walnut shells, dried wildflowers, and cedar.” The palate has notes of “honeyed cereal, crème caramel custard, almond macaroons, toasted biscuits with herbal jelly, and subtle banana taffy.” It concludes with “cola, chocolate wafer, and ginger marmalade” on the finish.
High West High Country is available now at High West general stores in Utah and is rolling out to retailers nationwide this month. It carries a suggested retail price of $79.99.
