Ardgowan Distillery Launches Clydebuilt Sailmaker Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
Ardgowan Distillery has announced the launch of Clydebuilt Sailmaker, a new Blended Malt Scotch Whisky inspired by the rich heritage of Scottish shipbuilding.
Clydebuilt Sailmaker is composed of six single malt Scotch whiskies from Highland, Lowland, and Speyside distilleries, all matured in first fill Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 48% ABV, Clydebuilt Sailmaker is described as “peppery” on the nose, with aromas of “dried spices, stone fruits, fresh nectarines, chocolate truffles, and Seville orange marmalade.” The palate reveals “long lasting butterscotch, marzipan, mangoes, and a hint of vanilla essence.” It concludes with the “rich sherry” influence of “raisins and spice” on the finish.
Clydebuilt Sailmaker is available now and carries a suggested retail price of £52.50.
