Beam Releases Little Book Chapter 6: “To The Finish”
Beam Suntory has announced the sixth expression in the annual, limited release Little Book series created by eighth generation Beam distiller Freddie Noe.
Inspired by the smoking of hardwoods to create different aromas and flavors in food, Noe has applied that same method to the whiskey-making process, using unique wood staves and barrel techniques for Chapter 6.
Little Book Chapter 6: “To The Finish” is a blend of five American Whiskeys:
- 4 year old Straight Malt Whiskey finished with cherrywood staves.
- 4 year old Straight Malt Whiskey finished with applewood smoked barrels.
- 4 year old Straight Malt Whiskey finished in hickory smoked barrels.
- 4 year old Straight Malt Whiskey finished with maplewood staves.
- 5 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Bottled at 58.7% ABV (117.4 proof), Little Book Chapter 6: “To The Finish” is described as having tasting notes of “rich toasted grain with hints of smoke.”
Little Book Chapter 6: “To The Finish” will be available in limited quantities beginning this month and carries a suggested retail price of $124.99.
