Old Overholt Announces 4 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey
Old Overholt has announced that their signature Straight Rye Whiskey has increased to a 4 year age statement and that the current 3 year old has been discontinued. The 4 year age statement pays homage to Overholt’s 1942 original age statement and marks a return to the liquid’s historical roots.
Old Overholt 4 Year Old is bottled NCF (Non-Chill Filtered) at 86 proof (43% ABV) and described as having aromas of “deep rye spices and pepper, mixed with apple and floral notes and a hint of vanilla and leather.” The palate is “full-bodied with a balance of black pepper, spice, coffee, char, and deep, dark fruits,” concluding with a “balanced and flavorful” finish.
Old Overholt 4 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey is rolling out nationally throughout summer 2022 and carries a suggested retail price of $19.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
