The Dalmore Introduces New 21 Year Old to Principal Collection

The Dalmore has introduced a new 21 year old single malt Scotch whisky to The Dalmore Principal Collection, joining The Dalmore 12 Year Old, Sherry Cask Select, 14 Year Old, Port Wood Reserve, 15 Year Old, Cigar Malt Reserve, 18 Year Old, King Alexander III, and 25 Year Old.
Initially aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, The Dalmore 21 Year Old is then transferred to and matured in 30 year old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry casks sourced from esteemed sherry makers Gonzalez Byass in Jerez, Spain.
The Dalmore 21 Year Old is bottled at 43.8% ABV and is described as having aromas of “dark bitter chocolate, overripe Seville oranges, Colombian coffee, vanilla, and a whisper of toffee apple and pecan pie,” with notes of “sweet liquorice stick, grippy Black Forest fruits, roasted walnuts, thick marzipan, succulent peaches in a thick syrup, ginseng, pear tarte tatin, and Sanguinello blood oranges” on the palate.
The Dalmore 21 Year Old will be released annually in limited quantities. The 2022 Edition is limited to 8,000 bottles and is available now at select retailers worldwide for a suggested retail price of £575.
