Westward Whiskey Honors Women’s History Month With Women of Westward Benefit Barrel

Westward American Single Malt Women of Westward Benefit Barrel No. 2

Westward Whiskey is honoring International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month with the release of its second annual Women of Westward Benefit Barrel, a single barrel hand selected by Westward’s female partners Kelly Woodcock and Erin Hayes, as well as a tasting panel of six women from the drinks industry.

For each bottle sold, Westward will donate all proceeds to Al Otro Lado and the Black Mamas Matter Alliance. Al Otro Lado “provides holistic legal and humanitarian support to indigent refugees, deportees, and other migrants in the US and Tijuana through a multidisciplinary, client-centered, harm reduction-based practice.” Black Mamas Matter Alliance is “a Black women-led cross-sectoral alliance that centers Black mamas to advocate, drive research, build power, and shift culture for Black maternal health, rights, and justice.”

Bottled at 45% ABV, Women of Westward Benefit Barrel No. 2 is described as having aromas of “caramelized sugar, honeysuckle, and banana,” with notes of “vanilla spice, ripe tart fruit, and banana bread” on the palate, concluding with “buttery, dried fall spices, and rich malt” on the finish.

Westward American Single Malt Women of Westward Benefit Barrel No. 2 is priced at $99.95 for a 750 mL bottle and is available now at Westward’s online store.
