Johnnie Walker Launches High Rye Blended Scotch Whisky

Diageo has announced the launch of Johnnie Walker High Rye Blended Scotch Whisky, the first whisky from the brand to showcase a high rye profile.
The Johnnie Walker High Rye mash bill consists of 60% rye aged in American oak barrels and features single malts that are key components in Johnnie Walker Black Label such as Cardhu, Glenkinchie, and Caol Ila, blended with rye and grain whiskies distilled at the Cameronbridge and Teaninich distilleries.
Bottled at 45% ABV, Johnnie Walker High Rye Blended Scotch Whisky is described as having aromas of “sweet wood spice, fresh cut fruit, and creamy vanilla,” with notes of “green apple, rich toffee, and dried clove” on the palate, finishing with “dry rye spice balanced with slight sweetness.”
Johnnie Walker High Rye Blended Scotch Whisky is now available in the US and carries a suggested retail price of $34.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
